OUT ON A LIMB
raccoon

This young raccoon quickly climbed a very skinny tree when my husband met him in our yard. He climbed as high as he could get, and then couldn't figure out how to get down. I ran upstairs and sat on a window ledge to get this shot of him. He looked so sad, my heart went out to him, and I asked my husband to get a ladder so he could get down. He set the ladder against the tree, and the raccoon got down to it, and was then able climb down the thicker trunk. As he ambled slowly back into the safety of the woods, I was glad. Shot with a Canon Powershot Pro 1 camera.
