THE SPINE OF THE WORLD
A surrealistic image of painted manikins thumbnail

As I gazed down at these mountains, near Thomas, WV, I was moved by a deep sense of peacefulness.  Snow had begun to fall and clouds gathered, but I sensed the timelessness of these worn peaks.  It didn’t matter whether there was snow or sun, these hills formed the backbone of the area – they and their cousins elsewhere form the spine of the world. Shot with a Canon XSi camera.
